Mapping Learning Goals to Relevant Guidance

Map learning goals and representative experiences to applicable standards. Match detail to program requirements and the selected implementation level. Alignment documents intended coverage; it does not by itself establish teaching quality, child learning, or compliance.

Keep source types distinct: DAP guides professional practice; ELOF describes learning and development; state standards and program rules may carry different requirements. Record each source’s title, version, and purpose rather than treating them as interchangeable child benchmarks.

NAEYC Guidance Reference: Specific DAP principle or guideline; include a separate accreditation standard only when applicable
